The Amherst New Era-Progress and Nelson County Times are looking for freelance writers. We pay per article and are looking for people who have previous newswriting, or newsgathering, experience. Preference will be given to writers who live in, or are familiar with Amherst and Nelson counties. If interested, send three published writing samples, via email to and a brief letter about why you want to write for our two award-winning weekly papers. No phone calls, please.
