The U.S. Forest Service is seeking nominations to fill seven positions on an 11-member Southern Region Recreation Resource Advisory Committee.
The committee gives recommendations regarding fees for public-land use in the Southern Region, which includes Virginia.
The Forest Service will accept nominations through Sept. 30 for committee positions that include members who would address such topics as camping; motorized recreation; hunting and fishing; outfitters and guides; and affected Indian tribes and local governments.
Appointments by the federal Agriculture secretary will begin in February.
