Wanted

Short is 5’8” tall and weighs 166’, he has brown hair and hazel eyes. Short is wanted on a contempt of court charge and was last known to live in the Lilly Lane area of Amherst County.

Below is a list of crimes being investigated by the Amherst County Sheriff’s Office.

Grand Larceny, Round Mountain Loop, May 27, a variety of household goods and electronic items were taken from a residence.

Property Damage, Lakeview Drive, June 22, a tree stand was damaged.

Fraud, South Amherst Highway, February 2007; counterfeit checks were cashed at the Bank of the James.

Grand Larceny, 4th Street, July 8, an Xbox, controller, cash and a queen-size air mattress were taken from a residence.

Property Damage, Kentmoor Farm Road, July 6, a parked car was damaged.

Petit Larceny, Greenwood Drive, July 10, items were taken from a parked car, but recovered a short distance away as the thief ran away after being observed.

Identity Theft, Thomas Road, July 8, an ATM card was used without the owner’s permission.

Grand Larceny, Francis Ave, July 7, two Dewalt grinders and a black hardhat were taken from Lynchburg Steel.

Burglary, Grove Ave, July 10, a residence was entered during the daytime.

Petit Larceny, Greenwood Drive, July 10, CDs were taken from a parked car.

Property Damage, Greenwood Drive, July 8, a parked car was damaged.
