Melanie Hope Crouch

Crouch is 25-year-old female 5’4” tall and weighs 115’. She has blonde hair and hazel eyes. She is wanted for a probation violation. It is unknown where Crouch is currently living.

Below is a list of crimes being investigated by the Amherst County Sheriff’s Office.

Petit Larceny, Lancer Lane, April 29, cash was taken from a gym bag at Amherst County High School.

Petit Larceny, Lancer Lane, May 6, an iPod was taken from a gym bag at Amherst County High School.

Petit Larceny, Lancer Lane, May 1, cash was taken from the girls’ locker room at Amherst County High School.

Property Damage, North Amherst Highway, May 10, a door to a vehicle was damaged.

Grand Larceny, Coffeytown Road, April 16, several junked cars were removed from a residence without permission.

Grand Larceny, Slapp Creek Road, May 12, a 1958 Dodge car was taken from a yard.

Property Damage, South Amherst Highway, May 12, a car parked in the Wendy’s parking lot was damaged.

Burglary, Flood Street, May 12, a TV, DVD player and necklace were damaged when a male entered a residence.

Grand Larceny, North Coolwell Road, May 13, two rifles were taken from a residence.

Shoplifting, North Amherst Highway, May 3, a juvenile was charged with stealing a pack of cigarettes from Apple Market.

Grand Larceny, Lancer Lane, May 12, a cell phone was taken from a gym bag at Amherst County High School.

Grand Larceny, Five Forks Road, May 10, jewelry was taken from a residence.

Grand Larceny, Buffalo Springs Turnpike, May 16, a heat pump was taken from a house.

Grand Larceny, Pierce’s Mill Road, May 16, a cultivator tractor attachment was taken from a residence.

TOWN OF AMHERST P.D.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., on May 12 officers with the Amherst Police Department, along with Special Agents with the Virginia Department of Alcohol Beverage Control and the Virginia State Police executed a search warrant at 156 Town Court Lane in Amherst, police said.
The search warrant was issued after a joint investigation revealed that the residence was being used for the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics, police said.
As a result of the search conducted at the residence a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, suspected powdered cocaine, drug paraphernalia and US currency, were seized, police said.

As a result, the following people were arrested and charged with various offenses:

-Jermaine Tyrone Neal, 23, of Lynchburg
Neal is charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.

-Calvin Alffonse Terry, 29, of Lynchburg
Terry is charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.

-Tacoma Lee Woods, 46, of Amherst
Woods is charged with Possession of Cocaine
